Why do I need therapy?

How do you know if now is the time to seek therapy?

Are you…

  • Withdrawing or socially isolating?
  • Avoiding activities, especially ones you previously enjoyed?
  • Easily angered or irritated by others?
  • Experiencing sleep disturbances (sleeping too little or too much)?
  • Worrying excessively?
  • Using substances to help improve your mood or get through the day?
  • Struggling to understand or manage your emotions?

These are signs of dis-ease or imbalance in your life. Therapy can provide the support and guidance you need.

Now that you have determined you would like to begin therapy, the next step is to find a Mental Health Therapist that is a “right fit”.

What does this mean?

  • Therapy will be an investment of your time and money and it is important that you begin this journey with someone you believe can help you reach your goals.
  • Openly expressing your thoughts and feelings takes bravery and is contingent upon the comfort you feel with your therapist.

The best way to determine a “right fit” is through direct communication with the therapist.

For this reason, I provide free 15-minute phone consultations. During this time I encourage you to ask me any questions you have about therapy or my therapeutic style. This time will also give you the opportunity to express what you would like to achieve in therapy and assess if you feel comfortable, understood, and accepted during our conversation.

I look forward to connecting with you soon.
